Grading/GPA

Hello!

This year, I am a freshman currently taking AAC algebra (pre-ap). I haven't been doing the best in this course, and I have a 85 average as of this whole school year. Will this impact my GPA greatly? Also, does anyone have tips for self-studying/doing better in math in general? Thank you!

This will probably impact your GPA but since it's freshman year it's not as bad as if you had an 85 average in junior year. For tips, try talking to your teacher if you want more practice or explanations because I know some people whose grades improved a lot after spending more time with their teachers during tutorial/study hall. Furthermore, there are those workbooks for math that you could probably find on Amazon for more practice, and Khan Academy is also a great resource. Of course, if you don't understand a topic, try going to YouTube and see if there are any videos to help (because YouTube has basically everything). If you understand everything but just make some silly mistakes during the test, I recommend spending more time checking your answers and using your spare time instead of turning it in right after you finish. Also, some people do better when they skip the hard questions and do all the easy ones first and then go back to those hard ones because then you can maximize points. Hope this helps!
