Are my academics strong enough for any top school?
Answered

I’m a junior taking 1 AP class and 1 dual enrollment class this year. my school offers a total of 5-6 AP’s(mostly computer science/arts) we aren’t allowed to take any advanced courses until our junior/senior year. Most of us were only allowed to take 2 advanced courses (with the exception of 1 student) . I’ve taken 4 honors classes already. I plan to take another AP class next year and 6 dual enrollment courses. Academic wise would that be enough for a school like UPenn?

I think it should be. Doing all those courses increases your course rigor and shows you work hard. And you'll be getting college credit, so there'll be less classes you have to take.

I looked up UPenn and they are pretty selective. You should probably apply to a few more schools, including one or two safety schools, just to make sure you get in somewhere. Also I saw UPenn is pretty darn expensive. If you're going to it for prestige that's okay, but remember you don't have to have the prestigious colleges if it's going to cause you to go into debt - it's better to pick a less prestigious college with a good program for the degree you're wanting to get and have a lot less debt, or none at all.
