AP Spanish Junior/Senior year?
I am currently in my sophomore year and planning for my junior year. In 8th grade I took Spanish 1, in 9th Spanish 2, and this year Spanish 3. I am transferring to another high school and they have Spanish 1, 2, 3 and have an option of doing AP Spanish.
The problem is that I don’t feel confident enough in my fluency to do AP Spanish next year. I can study Spanish over the summer on my own and with the help of my family (most of them are fluent), but this summer will be really busy for us. Would it look bad to not study Spanish my junior year and take AP Spanish my Senior year? If I do take it senior year, I will study Spanish on my own in Junior year. I am concerned that if I do AP Spanish my junior year, it will hurt my GPA.
(I am planning to major in global studies in college)

If I, were you, I would do regular Spanish and if your comfortable your senior year then go for it but if you struggle with Spanish like I do then don't take it because you do want to hurt your GPA.

I would say study Spanish junior year and do AP Spanish senior. AP classes can tank your GPA really quickly. It also will look better than if you get a lower grade as a junior.
