I don't need advice but this is more a question out of curiosity because I am seeing colleges lift restrictions on certain admissions aspects in light of the end of the pandemic (I.e, MIT ending test-optional), but still, I keep seeing people saying that colleges will be more forgiving with acceptances given the pandemic.
Do you think that they will consider Covid as an overall extenuating circumstance for the next few admissions cycles or will they return to admissions in the pre-Covid world?
It depends. Some people are of different opinions; Covid really isn't "over", it's still here and it won't go away, people just aren't so scared or worried about it anymore. Some colleges may still consider Covid in their admissions cycles, some may not. I think that would be a question for the specific college, but I think in general you can guess they won't be as strict/loose as they were before.

Thanks so much for your answer!! I think we can expect T10 schools at least to reverse restrictions like test-blind given that cycles are continually getting more competitive; they may need tests as another measure which would end up increasing acceptance rates.
