Admissions Advice

will a selective college rescind my offer if I have a C- in calc?

I got accepted ED to washu which has a 14% acceptance rate and is a top 20 school. I got a C- for my final semester in AP calc AB but it was an A- my first semester and I'm pretty much a straight A student otherwise. is there a chance my admissions offer could be revoked??

It's hard to tell for sure. I think if you are full paying student versus someone on full financial aid, you will mostly likely get a pass since WashU has the highest % of high net worth cohorts versus other similar schools like Vandy, USC, etc.

If you are on financial aid, I would ask my HS counselor if it's a good idea or not to reach out to them on your behalf and let them know about your circumstances and concerns. Ask them for a honest opinion based on what they know about WashU admissions policies. Refrain from doing anything until you have a conversation with your school counselor.

Good luck.
