Hello, I will be a sophomore when school starts in august again. As I'm filling out my profile, I see that there is no option for AICE classes. So I am wondering if AICE classes can also count as AP classes. I just want to make sure that my chances with colleges are more accurate.
The classes I took in freshman year were: AICE ENG GEN PAPER 1, PRE-AICE MATH 2 IG LEVEL, PRE-AICE BIOLOGY IGCSE LEVEL, PREAICE GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES, PRE-AICE SPANISH 1 IGCSE LEVEL and 2D studio art.
I plan to take these classes for my sophomore year: AICE ENGLISH AS LEVEL, PREAICE MATH 3 IG LEVEL, PREAICE CHEMISTRY IGCSE LEVEL, AICE EUROPEAN HISTORY 1 AS LEVEL, PRE-AICE SPANISH 2 IGCSE LEVEL, and AICE THINK SKILLS 2 A LEVEL.
For my junior and senior years I plan on continuing the path of AICE classes. How do these classes convert into AP classes or honors classes?
The short answer to your question is no, the two aren't the same! You'd probably have to ask your counselor about whether the class is equivalent in rigor/weight to an honors class or AP class!! (From what I read though, I only did a quick google search so definitely check this info, AP and AICE are both 1 full point of weight)
