Admissions Advice

The chancing engine seems not to be working properly
Answered

In my list of colleges, I have a relatively low admission chance to a certain school, in the range of a hard target or even a reach. However, when I enter my information in the chancing simulator, the same school gives me a chance of over 90%. Why is this?

Are you sure you don’t have other fields simulating different values in the simulator? The simulator uses the exact same machine learning model as the main chancing engine so the results should be the same if all inputs are the same. Try resetting all values in the simulator and then begin toggling the fields.
