I do not believe that the Chancing engine is sophisticated enough to differentiate between different programs/colleges at a research University. So if you have Brown University on your list, your 20% chancing rate to Brown is based on the Arts & Sciences not the BS/MD program. In general any BS/MD program is going to be 2 to 3 times (or more) more competitive in admit rates than general admission rates. So at Brown, getting into the BS/MD program is 3X harder. 2 cycles ago 3516 people applied at 82 got in which 2.3%, when the admit rate was 6.9%. So it was exactly 3 times harder. Now the admit rate is 5%, so the BS/MD rate at Brown is going to be around 1.7%. The same is true for top schools that multiple colleges like UPenn, that has Wharton, and 3 other colleges. So if UPenn is 5.5%, then Wharton a more competitive college within UPenn is going to be like 3.5-4%.

So you have to do your own due diligence on BS/MD rates on your college list versus the published normal admit rates. You will have to research those historical BS/MD rates and cut them back by the appropriate level since all admission rates are lower at coveted BS/MD programs and continue a downward trend.

Hope that is helpful. Good luck.
