Can I just jump straight into the PhD program after completion of bachelor's when no master's degree is offered?
Answered

I have a question regarding the degrees offered at colleges. I am going to attend a community college for the next 2 years soon (I just graduated from high school), and I plan on majoring in psychology. I know that a lot of psychology careers requires a PhD or PsyD, which is alright with me, but when I look at some college's website, they would mention a bachelor's degree and a PhD, but sometimes no Master's degree. Does that mean after I graduate with a bachelor's and get into a PhD program, I don't have to do my Master's and just skip it? Or do I have to do my Bachelor's, transfer to a different university for a Master's, and transfer back to get my PhD?

Yes, many PhD. programs do not require a Master's degree prior to applying.

I just depends on the profession you are seeking.

Similar to being a Doctor or Lawyer, you go from Undergrad to a M.D. or J.D program. Doctor of Medicine, Juris Doctorate program.

Hope that helps.
