Is it a good idea to write two essays about the same general topic on the UC prompts.

For prompt number 2, I said art is my creative outlet. But art is also my talent or my greatest skill (prompt #3) and I'm not sure if it's a good idea to write the third one about art.

You probably shouldn't trust me (I really don't know anything), but personally I wouldn't focus both on art unless you can write two very different essays where art is just a connecting theme/framing device? Maybe if you're able to tie in a different interest/application in each essay it would be ok?

I think that writing both essays about art can work so long as you can do two things. First, make sure that the essays highlight different aspects of your interest in art. Ideally, both should talk about different art mediums, techniques, creative projects, etc. Second, create an activities list with extracurriculars that cover a wide variety of fields. This will demonstrate that you are well-rounded. Hope this helps!
