What are good safety schools for chemistry?
Answered

I am a rising senior hoping to go to an elite school (like top 10 or 20 in the nation), but I am aware that there is a chance I won’t get in anywhere I like, so I want to have some good safety schools. Are there any you recommend? I plan on majoring in chemistry.

I'm also a fellow chem major, so here's my safer schools: Wisconsin (Great chemistry school), Florida (Not as big a chem major but really good research opportunities), and UIUC (Also a great chemistry program, but I'd argue not as good as Wisconsin). They're all great schools you can easily get into.

My chemistry teacher studied at SUNY Geneseo and University at Buffalo, he got his doctorate at UB and worked in a big research lab before teaching. I'm sorry I can't offer any other schools, but my chemistry teacher highly recommends these schools to students with any interest in science.
