College Inquiry

What are some ways I can demonstrate interest outside of the classroom?

Will it look bad for me to only take 2 years of a foreign language course in high school?

And how can I show colleges that I've read many research articles on the topics I'm interested in and am pursuing my own individual research?

Hi, @Patel_Krrisha. You can seek local research opportunities or internships to demonstrate your interest and achievement in a certain area. Asking your guidance counselor for information about these opportunities would be wise. In addition, creating a blog or website on a subject that interests you would be a great idea. Tutoring in your strongest subjects would also be helpful.

Go to college fairs, get in touch with admissions representatives, talk to professors in the department you plan on majoring in, go to open houses and other events. I'm not sure about the foreign language because I plan to take it through senior year, but I know people that dropped LOTE classes after meeting the graduation requirement and still go into good schools.
