Class of '27 What Part of your application makes you nervous and uncomfortable?

Class of '27 What Part of your application makes you nervous and uncomfortable?

As we embark on yet another hyper-competitive admissions season, I'm sure other CV members want to know if they are the only ones thinking about a gap or issue with their application.

For some of you, it's course rigor with a lack of APs, IBs, DE, and college classes.

For others, it's a low SAT or ACT test score.

Int'l students seem concerned about a lack of leadership roles and unimpressive extracurricular activities.

Many of you have writer's block and can't start an essay.

Please vote on the poll. If you have something interesting to say, I'll award 25 Karma to the best comment.

For me, I have leadership, I'm just not very good at my extracurriculars, and I've tried a lot of them. That's what concerns me, because plenty of people around me seem to have a ton of awards.

I have amazing SAT scores and a 4.0 GPA. I’m also top of my class with lots of amazing extracurricular and awards. I’ve taken many IB classes but the problem I have is that I literally can’t write an essay. From my perspective, it doesn’t matter if you’ve cured cancer if you can’t write a proper college essay.

I highly recommend that you watch some YouTube and CV streaming sessions on the essays then.

@andra Class of '27 means you graduate college in 2027 and apply this fall/winter 2022/2023

@andra Fall 2023 implies you are enrolling/matriculating Fall 2023 and Class of '27 always means your Graduating Class.
