Classes taken outside of school
Answered

Is there a section on the Common App where I can add extra classes that I've taken on my own outside of school (I've taken several FEMA courses, basic life support etc..)

Hi @Judd

Thanks for your question.

Those FEMA classes are not the same as college courses for credit or HS classes on your HS transcript that you take to fulfill graduation requirements. Therefore, you can't add them as part of your course rigor.

My recommendation is that you list them in the Add'l information section and explain why you took them and why they are an important part of your narrative.

Good luck.
