My intended major is international affairs and economics. By the time I graduate, I will have 14 ap tests including ap micro/macro econ, psych, lang, lit, and us/comparative gov. However, I am taking ab calculus instead of bc. Will this impact my ability to get into top schools, including the ivy leagues? Should I avoid including my interest in economics since it is related to math?
Calc BC covers two college calculus courses whereas Calc AB covers only one. The college credit you receive for each is different(usually 4 credits for AB and 8 for BC), but which exam you take won't affect your admissions decision.
Going along with the other answer here, taking Calc AB will look almost just as good as Calc BC on your application. Since it is one of the highest levels of math you can take, you can definitely mention your interest in economics. Hope this helps!
