SAT and ACT on Common App
Answered

I have taken the SAT twice and I got a 1270 and 1280. I don't want to submit my SAT scores anywhere so I said I have zero scores I wish to report and zero future sittings. When I checked the preview for my testing section it said "Taken: 0" Under SAT which isn't true. Is this how I should be doing it?

Additionally, I got a 29 on the ACT and plan on submitting it to a few schools, since the ACT is less common than the SAT will this disadvantage me?

Thank you!

Hey!

Taking the ACT over the SAT will not disadvantage you at all! Your ACT score is pretty good, so I would definitely submit that.

So on the CommonApp Testing Section, under the Tests Taken, there's this question:

Indicate all tests you wish to report. Be sure to include tests you expect to take in addition to tests you have already taken.

So for that, just select ACT scores, and report your scores. When you preview it, you should only be seeing "ACT Scores Taken: 1".

Hope that helps!
