Excluding SAT scores impact on Financial Aid
Answered

I am applying to a test-optional school and the chancing advice is to not include SAT scores for admission. Will this impact potential scholarships and financial aid package that the school may offer?

For financial aid-- applying test optional will not impact this. The financial aid package offered to you is determined through the FAFSA and CSS (if you fill out the CSS, only needed for certain schools).

For scholarships-- not sending test scores may impact your merit scholarships because some require a certain test score. This requires you to look at the school financial aid and scholarship website to see if they require scores for some scholarships.

For example, I didn't send scores to one school so I got a lower sum of money, but I found out that if I did send my score, my scholarship would've doubled.
