I am currently a junior in high school (3.9 Unweighted, 4.87 Weighted, 1540 SAT along with multiple State championship T&F wins in LJ and 800m, in addition to being class president and top of my class I worked on conservation projects in local communities and volunteering, which were both required for my Eagle Scout project) with a pretty extensive extracurricular background. However, it is lacking compared to my academic achievements which I have spent more time focusing on. Does anyone have recommendations on out-of-school activities or projects that could increase my chances of getting accepted to one of my dream schools (those being CalTech, UChicago, JHU, WashU, and Amherst)
I can provide any other information, such as interests, opportunities in my area, etc.
I would definitely recommend looking into some sort of music-related extra curricular. As a junior, it might be a little late to learn an instrument for scholarship-related things, but it's definitely an option! Picking up an instrument or taking an out-of-school music class would show that you are branching out in different aspects of your life. I would also recommend doing something that involves helping out other people. You could volunteer at a retirement home, teach a kids' class, or something that shows that you helped other people without looking for anything in return. This looks great on college resumes and you'll really enjoy doing things for other people!
Hope this helps!

Thank you for the advice, I had played music throughout middle school and it would be great to get back into it!
