650 ED admits became Columbia Lions today out of a pool of 5738 applications for ED. Although, no one is claiming this drop to the significant retaliatory measures US News applied to Columbia, to me it's just obvious that there would be more scrutiny towards applying to CU/SEAS this year.
I'm not sure what is going to happen for RD but I think more people will apply to Columbia because they are weaker and more vulnerable this cycle compared to others and people want to shoot their shot. When an Ivy has flip-flopped its ED admit rates compared to Yale, I think that people will add Columbia to their RD list because it's going to be perceived as easier to get into this cycle.
Nevertheless is think the overall admit rate is going to be around 3% for RD and 4% overall slightly higher than last year.
(sorry I posted this as a question). Feel free to comment on what you think is going on with Columbia this cycle.
