Course Rigor

So far I’ve taken 7 AP and I was wondering if taking 8 out of the 18 AP classes offered at my school would be a good course rigor I’ve also taken lots of honors courses and I might take one course at a community college

8APs

Hi @Swayam_Jain17!

Based on the number of AP classes your high school offers, 8 AP classes is not a very significant course load, but since you've taken a lot of honors courses, it's evident that you aren't slacking off by taking easy classes. A course at a community college will have the same weightage as an AP class on your application. Another important thing is where you're applying. For some colleges, your coursework might be above average, whereas for others, it might be average. If I remember correctly, (from an earlier post) you do have good extracurriculars with leadership positions, so you shouldn't be too worried. Besides, it's not worth overburdening yourself with too many APs if it's hard to keep up with them due to other time commitments (I'm sure you mentioned this somewhere earlier).

Hope this helps!
