Lol 3 days till I have to submit HELP!
Answered

I have a 4.2 weighted gpa and like a 3.7 unweighted I use the unweighted system so I really don’t know if a 4.2 is more impressive than a 3.7… especially for NYU so like wondering which one I should report.

Hi @gracedlm2!

I would use whatever the application asks for or default to what your school uses in rankings. It's not a big issue, though, because colleges will have access to your transcript and have more context there.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi!

The schools will have your transcript, so they will see both. Do not stress about which to report. Always report the one you fell represents you in the best light (which in general will be weighted).

Most schools recalculate the GPA based on their own standards, so the GPA that you're submitting may not actually be the GPA numbers that they use to decide your admission anyway.

Hope this helps!

Hi @gracedlm2!

Submit the weighted one because it provides more context about your course rigor than the unweighted one.

Hope this helps!
