For Financial aid, I wouldn't Depend on NYU as an International Student. More than likely you would have to take out loans to cover your cost of attendance. So maybe 6.

Hi @Britnieashleyb!

NYU recently announced a policy to meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for all incoming students. That means you should only have to pay your Expected Family Contribution as determined by the CSS and FAFSA.

This policy applies to both domestic and international students, but there's been no mention of expanding their need-blind policy to international applications as well. That means the school will most likely weigh the amount of aid you need when reviewing your application; an international student with the same achievements but enough cash to pay full tuition would be more likely to get in.

Need-blind policies for international students are rare (only seven colleges offer them), which is why I assumed NYU would not offer it. However, they don't specify either way on their website, so it might be worth it to contact the financial aid office just to make sure.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
