How prestigious is the National Youth Poet Laureate program? I know Amanda Gorman is famous for being chosen. Would NYPL be considered a Tier 1 activity?

THE NYPL Program is quite prestigious. Getting accepted alone would count as a Tier 2 activity because of the program's reputation and national level. It would become a Tier 1 activity if you advanced within the program as a semi-finalist or further. Hope this helps!

It Is a very prestigious school for the youth poets to get their voices known so if that's something you would like to pursue well then I say go for it! And yes it maybe not be the top-tier program but it helps a lot.
