Should I apply to scholarships at Bucknell?
Answered

Hi Guys,

I noticed that the deadline to apply to Bucknell was today and am therefore extremely stressed and worried. I basically had a month of not doing anything because my depression was at its worst. Luckily for me, I got out of my depression but it still doesn't change the fact that I haven't applied could I mention this in next years application and should I even apply for a scholarship as well, Im in need of a second opinion cuz I feel like I cannot believe in myself and that I will never get a scholarship.

If you did not have a chance to apply to Bucknell and the scholarship this year, I recommend applying to both next year. I recommend explaining how depression affected you in your application, since this will add context to the gap year that you would take while waiting for the application to open up again. Try to do either extracurriculars, service, traveling, work, or learning during the gap year. In any case, you've got this!

Hi @lemonspice!

You still have time to submit the application; so you should do it. Just because you don't think that you'll get a scholarship (if you're talking in terms of merit-based scholarships), that doesn't mean you won't. Try your best!

Hope this helps!
