school of NYT summer program

hi guys! im a current junior looking to apply to the school of the new york times summer academy because i'm interested in both journalism and poli sci.

would anyone happen to know the selectivity/acceptance rate of the program? i understand it is a paid program, but i heard that the acceptance rate is 10%. what factors are considered for admission? thanks so much!

Their website says that they look for students with 'diverse interests, ambitions, and writing styles.'
