Bad grades for a quarter in Sophomore year.

Hi! I have a question. I am primarily an A/B+ student, however, in the second quarter of my sophomore year, my grades dropped quite a bit. They ranged from A's to even Cs and Ds in some classes. In 3rd quarter they went right back up to As and Bs. Will this affect my chances of getting into college? I know it was only a single quarter of my sophomore year, but I'm still a bit worried.

Thanks!

There shouldn't be that big of a problem. colleges know that there might be some areas where you do worse but you can definitely explain it to them. Just do your best and you'll be good.

Hey!

I think what matters the most is what's on the transcript. If your school does final or semester grades, your grades will probably average out on the final transcript because you pulled them up after a quarter. If not, you can probably explain the reason for the drop in your college apps!
