What to do after being deffered
Answered

Hi,

I was just deffered from my #2 school (Northeastern) (until today I had only heard from my safeties) and I continued interest as a regular decision applicant, but I'm worried because I did get a grade I'm not super proud of this semester (first semester senior) and I'm worried that they'll see it and reject me. My #1 school is Stanford (I had an interview that went pretty well) and I'm hoping that the rest of my decisions go okay but I'm also super anxious about making the right decision financially for my family. Can someone tell me if there's anything else I should do as a deffered applicant who is still interested in the school?

One grade that isn't the best is not likely to affect your admissions decision to Northeastern. All parts of your application will be holistically evaluated, so an acceptance or rejection could come down to many different factors.

The only thing you should do as a deferred applicant is submit a letter of continued interest, if the school allows it. This blog post will give you tips on how to write a LOCI.

Hope this helps!
