When is usually the best time to get Rec letters from teachers. Currently I have till May end about till school ends and also is there a requirement for which teachers I have to get it from.
The start of senior year is usually the best time to start asking teachers about recommendation letters, so if you are one, you should probably look into ASAP.
If you're a senior you should get the recommendation letters as soon as possible. They're needed for college and scholarship applications. If you're a junior, then there's no pressure to get them immediately unless you're applying to something you need them for. You can ask a teacher for recommendation letter at any time, but it is usually best to ask before you start applying to everything so neither of you are overwhelmed by a deadline. As for who you should ask, it should be a teacher with whom you have a good relationship. It would also help to have them teach a subject related to your intended major. Some schools require STEM students to get letters from STEM teachers, and world language students from their language teacher. It is good to check the application instructions for each school you apply to.
