I’ll be a senior next year and my school only offers either AP Gov or Econ (meaning you can only take one), and they’re both one year classes. It’s mandatory that I take civics and Econ to graduate, and AP Gov satisfies both of them. AP Econ only gives Econ credit and I would still need to take civics. I want to be a business major, probably something related to international business or marketing. Which one would be more helpful?
Thank you!
Hey!
Ignoring your requirements, I personally would take AP Econ. Ive taken the class and I enjoyed it a lot. If you are going into business I’d definitely strongly suggest you take the class. That being said you have to consider your requirements. If you take AP Econ is there a 1 semester civics course that you could take instead of AP Gov?
Hope this helps!

hiii! Thank you so much for your help. There is a civics course that I could take over the summer, and I could take AP Econ during the school year. I’m just not sure whether gov or Econ is more important as I think you need to know both, but my school only allows you to take either one or the other.
