Does Alternate look good?
Answered

I competed at regionals for Science Olympiad. I'm now an alternate for state. How would this rank on extracurriculars? Will this still look good for colleges?

For info, I'm a junior. I joined Science Olympiad this school year and it's one of my only extracurriculars.

Being an alternate will look good for sure, though much of how good it looks will depend on whether you end up competing on the state level or not. If you do not, it will be a Tier 3 activity. Competing will bump it up to Tier 2.

I recommend adding some activities to your list to make it stronger - there are many you can do at home. Hope this helps!
