As a junior, there isn't much time left to do show leadership or join any new competition clubs, but there is summer still. I was thinking of doing some type of internship, freelance, or work at startup and gather real world experience. What are some advice/tips for making these achievable?
1. Build a good resume: past work experiences, volunteering, leadership roles, other skills (It doesn't matter if they relate to the your intended work or not. Something that shows your work ethic, abilities and personality to build credibility.
2. Personally, I've seen many youtubers recommend Upwork (I was looking for ways to find freelancing work and found this). Websites like these are great ways to find work.
3. Ask you relatives or family friends to connect you to internships.
4. It's better to have some sort of experience/knowledge related to the internship you're applying to, so take courses online to prepare yourself as well as maybe shadow someone in that field.
5. There's so many internships available from university programs and other prestigious ones. Apply to as many as possible.
