What are some good safety colleges?
Answered

Hey, I'm a sophomore in high school currently, and I was wondering what some good safety colleges would be. I have a ton of reach and a few targets, but no safeties. For reference, I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA, scored 1230 on the PSAT, 31 on PACT composite, and I have a few, not super strong extracurriculars (tennis and a few clubs). I'm interested in CS and plan on taking 6-8 AP, 2 DE, and 11 honors. All suggestions welcomed.

Thanks.

What majors were you hoping for? And any specific location?

A safety is usually a college near you that is extremely easy to get into. You most likely have community colleges near you or private or public colleges near you that have a high acceptance rate. Near me I have at least 20. There are hundreds or thousands of safeties, so it all depends on your location and what you want your majors to be. I'm actually a lot like you. I have some clubs as extracurriculars and I play tennis and football. with about 4 DE classes. This website can EASILY show you safeties near you and if you type in your info on this website and your location it will show you safeties near you. Normally Safeties tend to be similar all around the country. So there's no need to travel to go to a different state for a particular safety when there is most likely a safety similar to that in your state/area.
