What stands out on an application to the University of Texas?
Answered

As an upcoming sophomore, I am beginning to think of colleges I would love to attend. The University of Texas is one of my dream schools but I am worried about not standing out since they get so many applications. How can my application stand out even if I attend a very competitive high school?

Your application can stand out by inserting big things that you've done into it. For example, if you were applying for a college and wanted to major in Music Theory and Composition, saying that you composed a piece for your local band/orchestra to play at a concert (and that actually being true of course-), would look great on a college application. Not everybody has done such a thing.

Seeing how you're about to be a sophomore, you still have plenty of time to create experiences that would look good on your college applications.
