I did a summer precollege program at a large university and took two courses there. I got a C+ and a B-, which I realize is normal in college, however, I don’t know if it’s worth talking about in my college apps.
Is it at all beneficial to talk about the courses I took during the summer? They don’t affect my high school GPA(not dual-enr.) and I don’t know whether or not colleges would want to know about my grades.
I think if you apply to the same university you took the course at, they wouldn't penalize you because they would say you have demonstrated interest in their college. However, if your goal is to try to get into harder colleges, a C+ and B- do not help your narrative about Intellectual Vitality and course rigor. Pre-college courses are often less rigorous than actual classes so they may think you are not quite up to their standard. I would not recommend sharing these grades on your college application. They may ask what your grades were so err on the side of caution about even adding them to your college application.
