I'm planning on doing a coding summer program, and I'm an active member in one school club (I also did 2 varsity sports so I couldn't do more clubs, although I'm not good at those sports)
I know I'm only in 9th grade, but would the lack of "good" or "prestigious" extracurriculars make it harder for me to get into an Ivy League? I technically have a decent amount of extracurriculars, but they aren't that impressive, and they certainly aren't internships. My grades are strong, but I'm just wondering how my extracurriculars would also affect my chances.
I'm also planning on pursuing passion projects over the summer (coding, art), so would that make up for it?
To keep this community safe and supportive:
Colleges usually don't pay much attention to 9th grade. Some colleges completely disregard what students scored on grades and such in 9th grade. I'm sure you'll be fine.
