how to get research internships
Answered

i have heard a lot of people advising rising seniors to get research internships or jobs, by cold emailing professors. i am interested in the humanities and psych, so i am not really sure how to approach this and where to find these opportunities. i have applied to one part time job but i don't know how to email professors, does anyone have a format or a method to this? also, what exactly would these jobs entail and how can i best prepare for this

Look up colleges or labs nearby you and scout out some professors. Then find their email and send them cold emails asking for the opportunity. Make sure to send it during appropriate hours of the day and follow up.

Introduce yourself and your interest.

Display your interest in any research or classes you've taken

Attach your resume and write about your interest in their research.
