Regarding SAT submission

As we know that the UCs have completely stopped taking SAT scores and many other universities have become test optional.

Amidst this, I am planning to apply to the University of Pennsylvania so would I be at a disadvantage if I apply with the SAT scores?

UPenn admission stats show that they give standardized test submitters an advantage. 1 cycle prior, 49% submitted test scores for both SAT/ACT. On the most recent 2021/22 common data set it shows that 79% of admitted students submitted test scores. This means that submitting a test score to UPenn gives applicants a 61% boost in admissions. Also note, that on the CDS, it states that UPenn will consider a test score if submitted. That means it is NOT test blind like CalTech or the UC or CalState colleges.

Keep in mind that applying to Wharton or Huntsman is even more competitive than A&S or Nursing so admit rates are lower than the published rate and more like 4%.

Right, I'll keep that in mind. Thank you very much for the help!
