Volunteer hour issue

So last summer, I volunteered at a school for about 75 hours and a temple for approx. 40. However, this was all done in a very rural village with no internet connection in India. No one has phones, so it is impossible to establish any sort of communication. I sort of just went and asked and started volunteering. Another issue is that they are monolingual (the whole village), so even if someone could establish communication with them (for example a college), they wouldn’t be able to communicate or understand. Is it fine to still put them on my college application?

You should put the hours down since volunteer service is helpful in an application but I would suggest providing an explanation like what you added here. Maybe also providing the location and the type of work you did along with, if possible, any person they could verify the hours with.
