Will my lack of extra curriculars negatively impact my chances?
Answered

I'll start by saying I don't plan on applying to highly competitive schools, and I have a 4.1 GPA.

My grades are nearly perfect and I got a 25 on my ACT the first time, but I plan on retaking it sometime this fall to try for something better. I do one extracurricular activity, which I put a lot of effort into, and I recently served as the club's vice president. I'm planning to run for President this term.

I'm wondering if this would negatively impact my application, I know extracurriculars are important and my club has nothing to do with my intended major. I plan on also joining my school's art club this year along with hopefully getting a part-time job.

I don’ think doing extra circular would negatively impact you chances, if you have a strong and passionate purpose for those activities; it wouldn’t matter if it’s not related.
