Leadership for activities after covid-19
Answered

So I am currently a rising senior and I was supposed to hold several leadership positions for activities starting the new school year. If my activities will be canceled due to the pandemic, will I still be able to include these new leadership positions or no? If not, will this hurt my application?

Yes you can include them but if you really want to preserve the impact these activities would have had then you should find a way for your activities to remain active.

On your application, in the case that your activities were canceled, you can put on the application (I would suggest in the COVID-19 section now included) that you were supposed to hold X, Y, and Z title of X, Y, and Z club/organization but was unable to due to COVID. I don't think it will hurt your application because colleges understand that you can't hold these titles due tot he pandemic. They're human beings too and they are living the difficulties that COVID has brought as well. I' sure you'll be fine. Best of luck with this year and hope this helps.

Yes you can include them but if you really want to preserve the impact these activities would have had then you should find a way for your activities to remain active. For example, my Model UN club is working with other schools in our district to try and have a virtual conference. It doesn't have to be as extensive as that though, just make an effort to be a leader and keep the activities running through the pandemic in whatever way you can.
