Test optional

The calculation put UofM as a hard target for me because I’m choosing to go test optional. As a class of 2024 student apply for the fall 2024 semester, how much do you think they put test scores into consideration. I know the rest of my application will be near perfect but I am very stressed about my testing decision. This is my dream school and absolutely my number one choice. Help!!

Though University of Michigan is test optional, putting in a test score can boost your application quite a bit. They like to look holistically at each applicant, however since the competition is fierce for that school, grades and scores tend to have a lot of sway on your chances. As someone who is in class of 2024 as well and is also applying to UofM, I would submit my SAT score to give my app an extra little lift. Hope this helps!
