Admission to an in-state or public college as a permanent resident in the USA

Do I need to wait 1 year to be admitted to an in-state or public college after getting my Green Card?

I'm a transfer student in the USA. I completed my HSC(High School Examination) in 2021 from Bangladesh. Now I'm a gap year student. I will get my Green Card hopefully within November, 23. So, when I get my Green Card, do I need to wait 1 year to be admitted to an in-state or public college? I might give my DSAT in Bangladesh on October or November 23 as an international student, or I might appear on the paper SAT in the USA on November or December SAT.
