ALL this unchecked SPAM diminishes the perception of CollegeVine IMO.

I propose that CV Tech Support prioritize some mechanism to quickly detect SPAM and non-college content and the immediate deletion of the posts and authors.

I agree, and I agree with the first 3 poll choices. I've been trying to report/downvote the spam and ads I see, but honestly, its starting to feel like a waste of my time since I think the posts are all still there anyways, and I'm sure others feel the same way. All of the spam and advertisements are clogging up the feed and it seriously discourages students from posting questions/discussions, and using the CollegeVine site in general. If not resolved, many students are either going to go to another platform, or sit with unanswered questions until whenever it is fixed.

Exactly! I find it so annoying because downvoting and reporting never seems to do anything, like you said. Is CollegeVine actually doing anything about people who post spam? I feel like I see it all the time now.

It really hurts the relationships of peers on collegevine when you're asking for help and you get spam. I agree it's a problem.
