In India, are transcripts and marksheets the same?
I was a CBSE student. I am in my gap year. How to ask my teachers about the transcripts? And are the transcripts and mark sheets or report cards the same thing?
I am so confused. Please help me out in this matter.

They may very well indeed share the same information on them but transcripts are the official school academic record for you that covers the entire high school experience you have at your school. So when the Common Application says you have to provide a transcript that means your school counselor or head administrator has to prepare and submit a complete academic record for your plus a school profile so the application reader knows how to interpret the transcript.
