My grandson loves language, has read several books on linguistics as well as researching European language history on the internet. He sings in a choir, mostly in Latin. At the same time, he is very outdoorsy and completing Eagle Scout. It seems like Middlebury is a good fit but a far reach. His GPA is 3.75. What other schools would you recommend that he look at?
There is no lack of excellent liberal arts colleges in the US that would be a great fit for your grandson's 3.75 GPA and interests.
Off the top of my head here is my list:
St. Lawrence University
Hobart and William Smith College
Skidmore College
Bennington College
Union College
Hamilton College
Marist College
Connecticut College
