Admissions Advice

Hi, does anyone know wether I should take any standardized tests such as SAT or ACT for my UC admissions
Answered

I am an international student, I know that the policy for these exams has changed in recent years, but I would like to know if these exams add any significant value to my application?

It really depends on what test your school does. For instance, if your school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, you should consider including your IB scores as they are widely recognized by universities.

IB students often have an advantage in the college admissions process, with acceptance rates to Ivy League universities being up to 18% higher compared to the general population.

You can read here more about IB: theglobalcollege.com/ib-diploma-university-access/#:~:text=The%20IB%20Diploma%20Programme%20is%20a%20well%2Dknown%20and%20accepted,the%20total%20population%20acceptance%20rate.

However, if your school doesn't offer standardized tests, it's advisable to take the ACT or SAT to provide additional evidence of your academic abilities.

Good luck!
