Should I take pre calculus dual enrollment in summer?
Answered

Hi so I took algebra 1 in my freshman year since I didn’t know that you could take high school classes in middle school and so now that I’m a junior I am talking algebra 2 and nowadays since competition is very high I think I should take AP calculus AB in my senior year since that’s what my peers are doing but in order to do so I need to take pre calc. So I was thinking doing it over the summer as dual enrollment do you guys think this is a realistic option? Am I doing the right thing 😭

In actuality, if you want you can take both Pre-Calc and Calculus over the summer.

I took a college Calculus course through Outlier after my 11th year and didn't take any math senior year which freed my brain up to focus on senior things and college applications and scholarship submissions. Unless you are a STEM major, top colleges just want to see that you can get an A in Calculus and it doesn't matter if it's AP Calc, IB Calc or some College Calc. through DE, a MOOC or directly with the college.

Good luck.
