A few colleges that I have applied to besides sending me virtually informational sessions are now sending me invites to attend a financial aid session and said that my parents are welcome to join - I don’t understand bc I haven’t received and accepted letter/email yet. So why are they doing this?

They are doing it mainly for advertising. They want more students to apply so that they have higher applicants because they are either small and trying to grow or just want more students to reject
