Pre College Advice
Answered

Hello, I am currently a freshman, and I am hoping to enter the pre-college of a top university this summer. If you could help me understand what I should have in terms of awards, and what it's like I would greatly appreciate it.

My current awards/achievements include:

Future Problem Solvers state qualifier ('21 '22 '23)

Youth and government (2 years)

Key club member (1 year)

UNICEF club member (1 year)

JV tennis (1 year)

I also have a 4.0 in every class

Lastly, if anybody knows if legacy can impact my chances, that would be great.

Thank you for your time.

As far as legacy, it really depends on the school. Some schools have policies that basically say they ignore legacy to give everyone a fair chance. Others really honor legacy, I think Lehigh University is one of them (I know someone who received big scholarships b/c their mom, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and a sibling went there previously. However, this situation was a bit unusual.)

Hope that helps.
