Extracurriculars for Future English Major
Answered

Hello! I am a high-school sophomore hoping to major in English. Currently, I am in my school's Writing Club and do Speech and Debate. On top of this, I teach children how to read as a part of my required volunteer hours. Are there any other extracurriculars or passion projects that would make me stand out?

Hello! All of those already sound phenomenal, and it is good you are establishing a spike! I have heard of some national honor societies having competitions at state conventions. If you are a part of one of these societies and are able to compete, doing well in a competition would help you stand out. Furthermore, I would think completing a piece of writing, such as a book and publishing it, would be another outstanding option.
